WEST PELZER - Helen Mildred Hendrix Taylor, 83, of 11 Marguerite Street, died Sunday, November 4, 2012, at her home.
Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Lon and Alma Tripp Hendrix. She retired from Mount Vernon after 57 years of service. Helen was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Pelzer where she was active in the Joymakers and the WMU.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Ted Parks, Lynn and Lee Brown, of Williamston; son and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Patsy Taylor, of Belton; brother, Charles Hendrix, of VA; grandchildren, Shannon Patteson (Caleb), Kevin Brown, Kayla Parks, Zackary Parks, Michele Williamson (Alaric), Josh Taylor (Ashley), and Ryan Elrod (Kiersten); and eight great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a sister, Carolyn Hayes; and two brothers, J. C. and L. C. Hendrix.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012, at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the home of Lee and Lynn Brown, 27 Bruce Street, Williamston.
