Jeanne Zoran, 93, of DePue passed away at 1:15 a.m. Nov. 3, 2012, in Heartland Health Care, Henry.

Prayers will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Barto Funeral Home, DePue followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, DePue. The Rev. Kevin Creegan will officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Tuesday in Barto Funeral Home, DePue, with a rosary service to at 6:30 p.m.

Jeanne was born March 12, 1919, in DePue to John and Lottie (Smith) Gurnett. She married Joseph Zoran on Oct. 26, 1946, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, DePue.
Jeanne was a graduate of DePue High School and graduated from St. Mary's School of Nursing in La Salle on Aug. 17, 1940. She was employed as a registered nurse at St. Margaret's Hospital in Spring Valley for 40 years, working in the OB department. Jeanne was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in DePue; St. Anne Sodality, of which she was chaplain since 1963; DePue Booster Club; Catholic Nurses Association and SNPJ Lodge. She also served as Village of DePue Health Board Chairman and as school nurse for DePue Unit Schools.

Jeanne is survived by four daughters, Clare Gonzalez of DePue, Ellen (Tom) Dobrich of DePue, Jane (Bob) Witkowski of North Barrington and Anne (Joe) Heredia of Chillicothe; one son, Mark (Deb) Zoran of College Station, Texas; one sister, Ann (Art) Blanco of Maple Grove, Minn.; her 14 grandchildren — Tony Walk, Lisa Walk McGuire, Justin and Jody Gonzalez, Rob Witkowski, Elaine Witkowski Pihlstrom, Jackie and Katie Witkowski, Sara Dobrich Torri, Beth Dobrich Potthoff, Luke Dobrich, Allie Dobrich, and Emily and Martin Heredia; as well as 13 great-grandchildren.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband on April 14, 2002, as well as five sisters and one brother.
