Parents: Virgil and Pearl Abercrombie.

Callie was born in Jay, Oklahoma to parents Virgil and Pearl Abercrombie on January 30, 1923.

Callie and her husband Weldon and two of their children moved here from Oklahoma in 1950 and lived in Rock Creek for six years, before buying their place in Melrose.

Callie was of Cherokee heritage and loved to work outdoors in her flowers and garden; she also made quilts and especially loved having all the family together for dinner and games.

She was preceded in death by husband Weldon A., one brother, and three sisters.

She is survived by her children Joyce, Robert, Jerry, Billy, Johnny, and Jody; her sisters Molly, Jo, Bettye, and one brother John; numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Callie will be extremely missed by her family and all who knew her.

Services will be Tuesday November 6, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Memorial Gardens.
