Pine River Woman Dies at Her Home

Mrs. Cora Burke, 75, died at her home here at 10 a.m. Sunday. She had been a resident of Pine River for the past 15 years.
She was born Dec. 25, 1871, in Adams County, the daughter of the late William and Olive Ward, and was married to Ezra Burke, Jan. 2, 1902.
Preceding her in death were a daughter, a sister and six brothers.
Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Wagner, Redgranite, and Mrs. Mike Finnegan, Pine River; a brother, Charles Ward, Wisconsin Dells, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Hempel Funeral Home, Poy Sippi, beginning Tuesday morning.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Free Methodist Church, Pine River. Interment will be in Pine River Cemetery.
