Betty Hayes Cheatham, age 85, of Acworth, died July 22, 2016. Funeral service was held in the chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta with Rev. Banks Brazell officiating. Burial was at Cheatham Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Cheatham was born in Acworth, Georgia and was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. She was an office manager for many years Harry Norman Realtors. But most of all, Mrs. Cheatham enjoyed spending time with her family.
Mrs. Cheatham is preceded in death by her first husband Bob Hayes and second husband Gene Cheatham. She is survived by her daughter Ellen Auchenpaugh (Richard) of Powder Springs; daughter Karen Hayes Segrest of Jonesboro; son Brooks Hayes (Paula) of Acworth; stepson Tony Cheatham (Michael) of Acworth; stepdaughter Valerie Cheatham Adams (David) of Savannah; sister Gertie Gayton; grandchildren Daniel Auchenpaugh (Samantha), Amanda Auchenpaugh Cook (Sam), Diane Segrest Tyson (Chris), Carrie Segrest Baker (Joey), Andy Segrest (Jena), Sadie Hayes; great grandchildren Landon Tyson, Presley Tyson, and Ella Cook.
