Michael Merlin Quimby, 52, died Monday, Jan. 26, 2004.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Galloway and Sons chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Galloway and Sons chapel, followed by burial in the Mineral Cemetery.
He was born in Wichita Falls on Jan. 1, 1952, to Dorothy Williamson and Merlin Zenus Quimby. A Beeville resident, he was a member of First Baptist Church and was a retail packing clerk. He also had worked as a carpenter and at the uranium mine in Ray Point.
Mr. Quimby is survived by his mother, Dorothy Gilmore of Beeville; a stepmother, Helen Quimby of West Springfield, Mass.; one sister, Stephany Liller and husband Harry of Waldorf, Md.; four brothers, Frederick Quimby of Beeville, Bobbie Quimby and Derek Quimby of Massachusetts and Steven Gilmore of Corpus Christi; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Merlin "Bob" Quimby.
