Funeral Services for Joshua Cortez Barnes (23) of Bryceville, Florida will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 18, 2005 at Brandy Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Applebee and Rev. Ken Barney officiating.
Joshua was born June 30, 1981, the son of David Cortez Barnes and the former Shari Lee Young, and passed away March 12, 2005 in his home.
He is survived by: Father, David Cortez Barnes; Mother, Shari (Ralph) Collins; Three Sisters, Becki Barnes, Anita Collins, Samantha Collins; Brother, Josh Collins; Grandmother, Amelia Yarborough; Great Aunt, Florrie Roberts; 4 cousins, Tony Joseph, Kimberly, Jennifer; numerous family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Ralph Collins, Robert Mitchell, Cody Hall, Daniel Crews, Tony Jerall, Steffan Rafnsson, and Joseph Grimes. Honorary pallbearers include: Chris Kicklighter, Sonny Aman, Richard Aman, Mack Peeples, and Gary Crews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M., Thursday, March 17, 2005 in the chapel of Prestwood Funeral Home.
