The Oklahoman, Tuesday, June 21, 1938:
Heart disease was fatal Monday night to Charles Otis Henager, 35 year old painter, employed by the city detention hospital.
He died at his home, 1400 NW 6th St. Heneger worked at the hospital in the morning and was brought home at noon, feeling ill, his wife, Eula B. Henager told police. About 9 pm he rose from a divan to go to bed and he fell to the floor. Efforts of the pulmotor squad to revive him were futile.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Charles, Herbert and Rudolph, all of the home. Services will be announced later by the Hahn Funeral Home.
