She was the daughter of Louis Julius Lindauer (1838-1915) and Mary Sheehan (1842-1888).

She was born on August 21, 1878 in Elizabeth, Union County, New Jersey as "Kittie Lindauer". Kittie was the fifth child, but only four had survived by 1878.

In 1878 the family was living at 117 Parker's Lane in Elizabeth, New Jersey and Louis was working as a merchant.

Siblings:
Her siblings include: Minnie Lindauer (1869-after1880); Lulu Lindauer (1870-after1900) who was born in August of 1870 in New York; Grace Lindauer (1873-?) who was born in May of 1873 in New York and she married Maximilian Massey, and had at least one child, but this line might not be extant; Sophia Lindauer I (1874) who was born in Bound Brook, Somerset County, New Jersey and died as an infant; Jennie Lindauer (1874-after1880) who was born in New Jersey; Sophie Lindauer II (1875-?) aka Sophia Lindauer II, who was born in March of 1875 in New York but does not appear in the 1880 Census, and she married a Davis; and the youngest was Adeline Lindauer (1882-aft1930) aka Ada Lindauer who was born in April 1882 in New Jersey and she never married.

By 1881 her family was living at 450 Bloomfield Street in Hoboken, New Jersey.

Death:
She died in Hoboken on July 15, 1881 as "Katie Lindauer" at age 2 of diphtheria. Her death certificate was number "1881-1882-46-L2". She died on 450 Bloomfield Street in Hoboken.

Burial:
She was buried in Cypress Hill Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York.
