Raymond I. Adams, 60, Atlantic City, N.J., a former resident of Hanover, died at 5 P.M. Death was attributed to a coronary occlusion. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Adams, 18 West Hanover Street, and the husband of the late Mrs. May Adams. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jane Korona, Trenton, N.J.; two grandchildren and four sisters, Mrs. Mary E. Beck, York; Mrs. Leo Yealy, 413 Baltimore Street; Mrs. Curvin (Hilda) Kessler, 18 West Hanover Street; and Mrs. O.J. (Helena) Myers, 229 Meade Avenue.
Mr. Adams resided in Atlantic City for the past 42 years. He was employed at the Atlantic City Lumber Company for the past 40 years having been general manager before his retirement two years ago. He was vice president of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in New Jersey. Mr. Adams was president of the Toastmasters' Club, Atlantic City, and a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Atlantic City. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday with a requiem mass at 9a.m. at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Burial will be in an Atlantic City cemetery.

Raymond worked at Atlantic Lumber Company in Atlantic City, NJ. His wife was named Mary "Mae" Adams. They were married in 1914. They had 4 children. William J. Adams who died at 3 years old and Raymond I. Adams Jr. who died at 2 months old. Also another son's name was John "Jack" Adams and their daughter's name was Mary "Jane" Adams. Tragically, Mae (Raymond's wife) and "Jack" were both killed in a car accident shortly after "Jack" learned to drive.
Raymond's parents were from Hanover, PA. There names were William J. and Jennie Eline Adams.
Raymond died while driving through Philadelphia of a heart attack.
RAYMOND IS BURIED IN AN ATLANTIC CITY, NJ CEMETERY. I HOPE TO FIND WHICH ONE SOMEDAY!!!
