J.R.'s Branson Family

This virtual cemetery is based mainly on the descendants of John Branson and Mary Jane Jones Branson. John Branson was born abt 1798 in NC. At this time, I am not sure of his date of death. He may be the John Branson that died during the Civil War on 2 May 1865 and is buried in the Cave Hill National Cemetery, Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY, but this has not been proven to date. He married Mary Jane Jones, before 1833, probably in KY. Mary Jane Jones was born between 1812-1818, in KY and died after 12 Jul 1880, probably in Laurel or Rockcastle Co., KY. I only know of 2 of their children - William James Branson and Rachael Branson Carpenter.
