Rites Monday
Wayne Albertus Black, 74, of Osceola, died Friday, March 28, 1986 on arrival to the Clarke County Hospital in Osceola. Services were held Monday, March 31 at the Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, with the Rev. Neville Clayton officiating the 1:30 p.m. rites. Interment was in the Bethel Chapel Cemetery, Clarke County.
Wayne Albertus Black was born on October 23, 1911, in Clarke County, Iowa to George Black and Clara Walker Black. He attended schools in Lucas County and married Ruby Morris on February 27, 1932 in Bethany, Missouri. Four children were born to this union. He was employed in the area as a farmer.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Ruby of Osceola; a son, Walter Wayne Black and wife, Phyllis of Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts; a daughter, Celeste Mona Allen and husband, Irvin of Huxley; a son, Roger Dean Black and wife, Laura of Hartford; two brothers-Robert Black of Woodburn and Wayde Black of Portland, Oregon; and four sisters- Hazel
Welch of Portland, Oregon; Vera Weaklend of Woodburn; Lois Culbertson of Chariton; and Frances Coffman of Chicago,
Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Nancy Jane in infancy; two brothers, Bernard and Lloyd and one sister, Nina Sloan.
