Obituary.

Charles J . Blakely

Charles James Blakely, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Blakely, was born in Butler, Missouri, on August 29, 1905. With his parents he moved to Clarke county in 1911, where he lived until he was suddenly called home on January 5, 1938.

For several years he was employed by Carnes Brothers Construction Company but most of his life was spent at home helping his parents. He was honest and upright in all his dealings and holds the highest respect in the minds of all who knew him.

Those left to mourn his leaving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Blakely; one brother, Willie; seven sisters — Mrs. Anna Pennington of Norwood, Iowa, Mrs. Eulah Ried and Mrs. Beulah Sanford of Grant's Pass, Oregon, Mrs. Nellie Ohrn of San Diego, Calif., Ina of Chicago, Clara of Grant's Pass, Oregon, and Gertrude of Des Moines, in the immediate family. Thell Blakely and family, William Blakely and family of St. Louis, Mo., Sylvester and Clyde Blakely of Osceola.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. F. C. McCallon, Sunday at 2 o'clock p. m. from the Webster Funeral Home and interment was made at Bethel chapel cemetery.
