Margaret L. Cluzen, 92, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, at Clark Fork Valley Hospital in Plains.
She was born Sept. 21, 1915, in Thompson Falls at Dr. Peeks Hospital to Marion and Madaliene Larson. Margaret was raised on Marions Island and graduated from Noxon High School in 1933. After attending Kinman Business College she worked for Larson & Greens in Thompson Falls. In 1941 she married Bob Cluzen.
During the war years as Bob was in the South Pacific, Margaret worked at Eastern State College and as a dispatcher for the Forest Service at the Noxon ranger station. In 1946 they purchased the Tuscor Store from Ed and Helen Muster. Because Tuscor was to be flooded from the Noxon Dam, in 1953 they moved to Noxon where she raised her family and was a bookkeeper for Cluzen Construction.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bob, brother Norman Larson and granddaughter Kristie Ellen.
She is survived by her sons Bobby Cluzen and Ross (Karen) Cluzen, all of Noxon; two granddaughters, Tracie (Jeff) Dorge of Battle Ground, Wash., and Mindie (Andy) DeFransco of Auburn, Wash.; and seven great-grandchildren, Jake, Claire, Alex, Nathan, Clayton, Olivia and Katie.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday,
Nov. 7, at Noxon Cemetery.
