Heart Attack Claims Former Solon's Wife

Clark Fork (AP)--Mrs. Compton I. White, wife of the former Democratic congressman from Idaho, was found dead in her husband's office Saturday, the apparent victim of a heart attack. Her son found the body when his mother failed to return home after going to the office to do some work. She had been in ill health recently. White, 73, was en route home from a business trip to Chicago at the time. He arrived Sunday night to be told of his wife's death. Mrs. White was 60 last month. She had been staying at the home of her son, Compton White, Jr. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ben McConnell of Clark Fork; a sister, Mildred Eldridge of San Diego; a brother, Bryant Bunn of Bremerton, Wash., and seven grandchildren.
