Magdalena Dube, wife of Carl August Dube, renter on Rabbs Creek, died at 7 pm on Tuesday, 21 April 1868 and was buried two days later in St Paul's Cemetery, Serbin, Texas. Pastor Kilian gave a brief funeral devotion, a blessing at the grave, and a funeral sermon. Weakness and consumption caused her death at the the age of 42 years and one month. Magdalena is survived by her widower, one son, and one daughter. (Her grave diggers were Matthew Prellop and John Schelnick.)
