Demetrius Lee Yancy, 15, of Auburndale, died Monday, Aug. 19, 2002, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center of complications relating to a fall in the lake.
He was a native of Manhatten, Kan., who came to the area from Manhatten 14 years ago. He was a student. He was a member of Bethel AME Church in Winter Haven.
He is survived by his father, Willie Miles, II, of Auburndale and stepmother, Maria Miles of Auburndale.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. this evening at Charles A. Lewis Funeral Home in Winter Haven. Funeral services will be held at the Bethel AME Church on Thursday at 1 p.m.
