Colleen Patsy Parson March 17, 1932 - March 22, 2010 SALEM - Colleen passed away on March 22, 2010 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Gowrie, Iowa, but spent some time in Calif. and Oregon where she then met her husband Junior Lee Parson from Hubbard, Oregon. She then resided in Salem for the rest of her life. Colleen loved being a mother to her 5 children and being a grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, enjoyed camping, the outdoors, country music, dancing, Nascar racing, Dancing with the Stars and American Idol. She especially liked helping others. Colleen is survived by daughter, Gail Edmonds; sons, Junior Leroy, Robert, Edward (Myka Parson); and daughter, Patricia Johnson; grandchildren, Jerome, Alicia, Jamie and Tyler J. Visitation from 1 - 5 p.m. Sunday, March 28 , Funeral service will be at 3 p.m., Monday, March 29, all at City View Funeral Home. Private Interment will be at Belle Passi Cemetery. Arrangements are by City View Funeral Home.
