Surname possibility spelled Meyberg in western Europe.

h/o Barbara Nalle/Nalls, 1734-1811. There is a good probably of a wife before Barbara. Her maiden name could be Ewing; Ewing is there nearest neighbor and a Ewing pays the taxes for George Mayberry & Henry Mayberry. It is also possible that she is the daughter of Robert Scarborough (per Ken Brock)

Frederick was a patriot in the American Revolutionary War, furnishing supplies & ammunition to the troops. His three oldest sons served in the Virginia Continental Army as soldiers, drivers, rangers & scouts.-

I found a record in Bedford County Courthouse showing Frederick Mayberry signing his name as Frit ("Fritz" a nickname for Friedrich) Meÿberg. His son George in his 1833 Rev War Pension Application says he was born in New Jersey in October 1759.

Now that I had the spelling of his name in German I was able to find this record.

Sower's Newspaper 16 Dec 1754: "Daniel Meyberg, a smith, arrived in this country 18 years ago. His brother, Friedrich Meyberg, arrived this autumn, having passed through the East Indies and holand, and he seeks his brother. Friedrich is at Deep run, Perkasie (Bucks County), with Abraham Schwartz." Abraham Schwartz was a Mennonite Preacher then Bishop of the Deep Run Mennonite congregation in Bedminister Township, Bucks County, PA. He was born in Gerolsheim, Bad Durkheim, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. Schwartz arrived at Philadelphia on the Friendship on Oct. 16, 1727. He was ordained preacher in 1738 and bishop in 1756.
