Caledonia: On February 3, 2013 at age 85. Predeceased by his sons-in-law, Gary C. Baird Sr. and Gerald Ed Fenner. He is survived by his wife, Dolores; children, Carl (Rose) Worden Jr., Peggy (Jesse) Gonzales, Penny Fenner; grandchildren, Gary (Pamela) Baird Jr., Jason (Jillian) Baird, Amanda Hailstone, Joseph Worden, Jenny (Todd) Smith, Adam (Erin) Worden; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Sydney Hailstone, Brynlee Worden, Owen, Madeline, Andrew Baird, Cora, Ryan Baird and Claire Smith; brother, Marion (Virginia) Worden; sister, Mildred Dewitt; and sister-in-law, Janet Arthur; several nieces and nephews.

Carl "Nelson" retired from Kodak after 42 years. He was employed by ACE Hardware in Caledonia for over 20 years. He was a WWII Veteran, charter member and Chaplain of VFW Post #10844, past Secretary-Treasurer of the Big Springs Pumper Co. in Caledonia and President of the Mumford Rural Cemetery. Nelson was a gentle, loving husband, father, grandpa and friend.

Friends may call Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St., Caledonia where his Funeral Service will be held Friday 11 AM. Interment, Mumford Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Marrow Donor Program "Be The Match", 3001 Broadway St. NE., Suite 601, Minneapolis, MN 55413.
