Graveside services for Wallace Nolan Voltz will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 with Rev. Dan O’Connor and Rabbi Arnold Task officiating. Interment will be at Greenwood Memorial Park under the direction of John Kramer & Son.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the funeral home.

Wallace Nolan Voltz, 87, of Alexandria passed away on Monday, September 15, 2014 in Regency House.

Wallace is preceded in death by his father, Judge Gus Voltz, Sr.; mother, Ulma Chambers Voltz; two brothers, David Voltz and Gus Voltz, Jr.

Wallace was born and reared in Alexandria. He attended Providence Academy, West End Grammar School, Bolton High, College of Commerce, and LSU. Wallace graduated from LSU with a degree in Business Administration. Wallace served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. He was a retired food store owner-operator. At an early age, he was captivated by the beauty and bounty of Louisiana lakes, streams, and marshes. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a prolific, a proficient, accomplished designer, builder and flyer of high performance sport precision aerobatic radio-controlled aircraft.
