Mrs. Goldman grew up in Baton Rouge. She attended St. Joseph Academy and graduated from Baton Rouge High School. She sang in clubs in and around Baton Rouge and Gonzales and had her own program on WJBO, Baton Rouge's first radio station. She joined a traveling musical review as a featured singer and dancer and toured across in the U.S. and Canada. When the tour ended, she returned to Baton Rouge radio and married Paul H. Goldman. She left show business to become a mother and homemaker. She continued having her own singing programs on radio in Baton Rouge and Alexandria. She came to Monroe in February 1951 when her husband accepted the position of General Manager of KNOE Radio.

She became active in the Catholic Newcomers and in the St. Matthew's Mothers Club, as well as the Catholic Daughters of America, serving as Secretary, Treasurer and Regent of Court St. Matthew of Monroe. She was elected as the first Catholic Daughter of the Year in 1978. She served as District Deputy Regent for the Northern District of Louisiana of the CDA. She also established what is thought to be the first Catholic Daughters of America College Court on the campus of what was then Northeast Louisiana University (now ULM). The first meeting to establish Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church took place in her home. She was active in the church having served as Sanctuary Society President.

She was survived by her husband of 69 years, Paul H. Goldman; three sons, J. Philip Goldman and wife Charo of Midlothian, VA, Mitchell Joseph Goldman, and James Oliver Goldman and wife Candy, all of Monroe; one daughter, Marylin Goldman Ritter and husband Skeeter of Blountville, TN; one sister, Grace Castro of Baton Rouge; 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
