Donald BUCHMANN (03/29/1925 - 10/16/2016)

Donald Buchmann, passed away in Spokane, WA, Sunday, October 16, 2016. He was born in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho on March 29, 1925, the son of Wilhelm F. and Daisy E. (Shelton) Buchmann.

His school years were spent in Noxon, Montana, where he joined the Army when he was just 17. He was wounded in Normandy, receiving his first purple heart, and a second later in Belgium. After his discharge, he returned to Noxon to complete his senior year and earn his High School Diploma.

He trained as a typesetter, working for years in the printing business and eventually owning his own print shop. Interests include camping and square dancing.

He is survived by his son, Barry Buchmann, a daughter, Diana Buchmann, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Gravesite inurnment will be held at the Noxon Montana Cemetery at 12:00 MST (11:00 PST), Saturday, October 29, 2016.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.

Yates Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.
