He enlisted in the Army on January 20, 1943 in Buffalo, New York. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Machinist and also as Single, without dependents.

Kenneth was "Killed In Action" when his plane did not return from a mission over France during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Son of William Wallace MacDowell (1904 -????) and Lucy Mae Norris MacDowell (1905-1989).

He is interred somewhere in New York State.

His brother, Pfc. Norris L. MacDowell, was also "Killed In Action" during World War II.
