She was born Thursday, October 6, 1927 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Galeon and Sallie Keltner Janes. She died Sunday, October 28, 2012, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 85 years and 22 days.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A. Z. Burris on August 26, 2006, and one brother, Lewis Janes.

She was a member of Pickett's Chapel United Methodist Church and a homemaker.

Survivors Include:
Four sons: David (Betty) and Sam (Phyllis) Burris all of Columbia, KY; Mike (Carolyn) Burris of Russell Springs, KY; and Phillip (Marilyn) Burris of Campbellsville, KY.

One daughter: Wanda (Larry) Wisdom of Columbia, KY.

Six brothers: Ollen, Johnnie, Payne and Herbert Janes, all of Columbia, KY; and Bill and Norman Janes both of Campbellsville, KY.

Five sisters: Ernestine Kemp, Sue Cundiff and Phyllis Stone all of Columbia, KY; Freida Smith of Louisville, KY; and Retter Bailey of Campbellsville, KY.

Fourteen grandchildren,and 17 great grandchildren.
