He was an independent life insurance agent until ill health forced his retirement. He was a member of the Tacoma Elks Lodge and a former member of the Life Insurance Underwriters.
Mr. Brewitt is survived by his wife, Cecelia; a son, Barry J. of Detroit; two daughters, Mrs. Diane E. Regala of Tacoma and Barbara A. Brewitt of Denver; a sister, Mrs. Bernice Carino of Birmingham, Mich.; and one granddaughter.
Services are announced by Gaffney Funeral Home.
