Joseph A. Brewitt, 55, of 1001 N. 9th St., died Thursday. Mr. Brewitt was born in Tacoma and had lived here all his life.
He was an independent life insurance agent until ill health forced his retirement. He was a member of the Tacoma Elks Lodge and a former member of the Life Insurance Underwriters.
Mr. Brewitt is survived by his wife, Cecelia; a son, Barry J. of Detroit; two daughters, Mrs. Diane E. Regala of Tacoma and Barbara A. Brewitt of Denver; a sister, Mrs. Bernice Carino of Birmingham, Mich.; and one granddaughter.
Services are announced by Gaffney Funeral Home.
