Lillian Clyde Melton Anderson, 70, died at 8:55 PM Wednesday, Nov. 20, 1974, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, where she had been a patient since Nov. 7, following three years of failing health. Born in Cumberland County, KY, she had resided most of her life in the Romney and Lafayette communities. In 1922 she was married at Burkesville, KY, to Sam H. Anderson. Mrs. Anderson was a former apartment manager.

Surviving are three daughters, Iva (Mrs. Eugene) Lawson, an employee of the Journal & Courier, Jewell (Mrs. Walter) Fidler, and Geneva (Mrs. James) Crow, all of Lafayette; three sons, Eldon W. Anderson of Lafayette, Donald L. Anderson of Logansport, and Charles J. Anderson of Rosedale; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Hudleston of Lafayette and Mrs. Ora Smith of Burkville, KY; two brothers, Charles Melton and Ralph Melton, both of Daleville; 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
