This appears to be Edwin Marcellus Kenyon, son of Thomas Barber Kenyon and Saphronia C. Miller. He married Mary I. Bush 13 Dec 1878, Gun Plains, Michigan.

He died at the age of 92. He was a Ret. Rep, Dodge Mfg. Co., who resided in Barrington, Cook, Illinois.

Edwin's family is shown on the 1880 census living in Danville, Vermillion, Illinois. Edwin is 26 years old, a silversmith, wife, Mary, 25, born about 1855, Michigan, infant son Roland (listed as Ronald), born 1879, Illinois, sister-in-law Georgina Bush, born 1861, Michigan. Mary and Georgina's father was born in Massachusetts.

The family is shown on the 1900 census living in Chicago, Illinois. Edwin is listed as a manager of a manufacturing company, wife Mary. His son Rolando is listed as a dentist. Son Robert, daughter Georgina, daughter Ella all students.

The family is shown on the 1910 census living in Chicago, Illinois. Edwin is shown as a manager of a manufacturing company, his wife listed as Mary B., and daughter Zella living in the home.

On the 1920 census Edwin is living with his daughter Georgina and son-in-law Thomas W. Thackery, in Chicago, a widow.

A death certificate provides his birth and death dates, listing his father as Thomas Barbour Kenyon, born London, England and mother, Sarah Miller, born Boston, Massachusetts. Additionally, he is an entry for Zella K. Dryden, showing his wife as Mary Moore, who was born in Michigan.

There are some discrepancies in the death record, although this writer has not seen a copy of the original record, only a transcription of it.

The father, Thomas Barber Kenyon descends from a line of Kenyons, who came from England, but Thomas Barber Kenyon was born in New York State, not England. His wife was believed to be Saphrona, but apparently listed as Sarah on the death record. Edwin's wife is given as Mary Moore, while records indicate she was Mary I. Bush. It is unclear where the Moore name comes from.

Despite these discrepancies, this appear to be the correct Edwin Kenyon. His father Thomas Barber Kenyon ascribed Kenyon identification number 13516 in the book American Kenyons, by 1935, by Howard N. Kenyon.

Edwin and Mary's children include:

* Roland Kenyon, b. 1879
* Robert Edwin Kenyon, b 1881 m Edith L. Ahrens
* Georgina Kenyon, b 1884 m. Thomas Thackery
* Zella Kenyon, b 1894, d. 1918
