Legendary Spanish-basque terrorist. He was part of the young nationalists who in 1952 created the group Ekin, beside people like Julen Madariaga, Álvarez Enparantza and Txillardegi. In 1958, was one of the founding members of a new organization called Euskadi Ta Askatasuna (ETA). Following the failed attempt to derail a train carrying former Franco combatants to San Sebastian on July 18, 1961, he was arrested along with many people. Months later he was subjected to the first council of war which was applied to members of ETA and sentenced to twenty years in prison. He was father of the former leader of the band Mikel Albisu Iriarte "Antza", until his capture on October 3, 2004, and currently in prison in France.
