Christine Seton Holmes Sandstrom, 61, died October 16, 2012, at her home following a long battle with cancer.

She was born in Bellingham, Washington, to W.E. Seton and Mary Patricia (Bryon) Seton.

She grew up in Port Townsend and graduated from Port Townsend High School.

She moved to Sweet Home, Oregon, and earned her associate degree as a medical transcriptionist from Linn-Benton Community College.

She moved in 1980 to Port Angeles, where she worked for the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries until her retirement. She also served as a notary public.

In 1969, she married Dave Holmes. They divorced in 1970.

She married Allen Sandstrom on April 15, 1995.

She loved the outdoors, fishing, boating, swimming and car racing, and spent most Saturday evenings at the Port Angeles Speedway.

She had many friends in Port Angeles but was lifelong friends — and best friends — with Ilene Wommack.

A remembrance of her life is set for noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, October 27, at Carrie Blake Park, 202 North Blake Avenue in Sequim. This will be a potluck event, and those wishing to bring a dish are invited to do so.

She is to be cremated at Linde-Price Funeral Service in Sequim.
