Two Children Expire After Brief Illness
Two children, pupils of the McKnight School in Liberty Township, died over the weekend after brief illnesses.
Verla Mae Uber, aged ten years and four months, died in the Bashline-Roseman Hospital here, at 4:40 p.m. Sunday. She was the daughter of Marion P. and Edna Cole Uber, of Liberty Township, where she was born and spent her life.
Surviving are the parents; three sisters, Phyllis, Roberta and Bernice, and a brother Edward.
Private services were held at 3:30 p.m. Monday from the Uber Funeral Home, Slippery Rock, in charge of the Rev. H.H. Ford.
Burial was in the North Liberty Cemetery.

Cecile Ione Dunlap
Cecile Ione Dunlap, seven-year-old daughter of Norman C. and Clarice Nobles Dunlap, RD 2, Grove City, died at 9:30 p.m. Friday in the Osteopathic Hospital following a sudden illness. Cecile was born in Warren Pennsylvania, July 1, 1938. She resided for the past five years in North Liberty, moving from Warren.
Surviving are her parents, and a sister, Mary Jean, at home. Also the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Dunlap, Harrisville, and Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Nobles, of Garland, Pennsylvania.
Private services were held at 3:30 p.m. Monday from the Cunningham Funeral Home here in charge of Rev. Lester.
