CHAPMAN, Dennis L. (Age 90)

Dennis L. Chapman of Coeur d'Alene passed away October 6, 2007 at Kootenai Medical Center. He was born June 2, 1917 in San Bernardino, CA. He is survived by his wife Helen (Weber) Chapman of Coeur d'Alene; daughters Kay Hall, Jane Graybill and Mary Garrison, all of Coeur d'Alene; and son Dennis H. Chapman of Ellensburg, WA. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Dennis was employed as an electrician for the Sunshine Mining Co. in Kellogg, ID, Industrial Electric of Seattle, WA, and Betchel Corp. at Hanford, WA. He was a WWII Combat Veteran in the Pacific Theater where he was awarded a Silver Star and two Bronze Stars. While in the military, Dennis served with the 1st Calvary; 302nd Recon, Special Forces as an Alamo Scout. As we celebrate his life, he will always be remembered as a strong, kind, full of life man who was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by family and friends. A private family service will be held at Fairmont Memorial Park in Spokane, WA. In lieu of flowers the family requests that any remembrances be made to the American Cancer Society. YATES FUNERAL HOME, COEUR D'ALENE CHAPEL has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.
