Margaret Ann Thompson, wife of G.B. Arnold, was born at Mt Liberty, Knox County, Ohio, April 22, 1832, and died in Reger, Sullivan, Missouri, September 8, 1907.

She grew to womanhood in Ohio and was united in marriage to G.W. Duval in 1850. Six children were born to this union, but only three survive her: James Duval of O'kean, Arkansas; Mrs. Ida McLain of Des Moines, Iowa; and Mrs. Bertha Welsh of Cameron, Mo.

After moving with her husband, Mr. Duval, to Missouri, she was left a widow by his death in 1878. She was married to G.B. Arnold in May 1884. Their 23 years of marriage were spent in Wheeling, Lathrop and Reger, Missouri.

Mother Arnold united with the Christian church over fifty years ago and was a faithful member until her death. The history of a worthy life has been completed -- one who was diligent in home keeping, faithful in Christian privilege, devoted as a wife and adding luster to the proud distinction of a mother.

The funeral services were conducted by George E. Lyon of Topeka, Kansas, in the Wheeling Christian Church. She was laid to rest in the Wheeling Cemetery.
