Obituary: J. LaVerne Cook, 79, died Tuesday at Audubon Regional Medical Center.
She was the former J. LaVerne Oller and a native of Grayson County.
Survivors: her husband, James R. Cook; three daughters, Barbara J. Avery of East Lyme, Conn., Judy M. Cook and Patricia A. DuVall; four sons, William R. Cook of Elizabethtown, Stephen L. Cook of Jeffersonville, Ind., and James S. and Donald W. Cook; a sister, Wilma Sadler of Bowling Green; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday, St. Clement Catholic Church, 5431 Johnsontown Road. Entombment: Louisville Memorial Gardens West Mausoleum. Visitation: W.G. Hardy Shively Funeral Home, 4101 Dixie Highway, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 2- 9 p.m. Thursday.
