Alden graduated from Buhler High School in 1957.
On Aug. 29, 1959, he married Carolyn Snyder in Hutchinson. He was a member of Church of the Holy Cross, Knights of Columbus Council #612, Pork Producers Association and 4-H. A Teamster at Dillon's Warehouse, he retired in 1996 after 35 years of service.
Survivors include: his wife, Carolyn Lang of the home; daughter, Beth Tilton and husband Mark; two sons, Dennis Lang and wife Stacy, and Jeff Lang and wife Jana, all of Hutchinson; nine grandchildren, Kara Warren, Brent and Halee Tilton, Zach and Zeke Kunze, Dustin, Drew, Brandon and Garrison Lang; six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by nine siblings.
Rosary will be 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at Elliott Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at Church of the Holy Cross with Father Joseph Eckberg presiding. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
