Obit -- Chester L. Blystone 84 years old plassed away Sunday, October 8. 2006 at home surrounded by his family and friends. He retired from Gulf Oil after 36 years of service. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII, stationed in Siapan. He was a devoted family man and a blessing to his neighbors for 58 years. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 from 6pm to 8pm at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at 10am at Clayton Thompson Chapel with Rev. Buddy Blake officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. He was preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Melody Blystone Bazar, Granddaughter Wendy Green; brother Morris Blystone; sister, Ruth McLean; and parents, Robert and Eddie Ruth Blystone. He leaves behind his beloved and devoted wife, Elizabeth of 60 years; daughter, Janis Blystone Borel and her husband Homer; his grandchildren, Malaina Borel Garcia and her husband Carlos, Kimberly Borel, Chad Green and wife Yvette. He is also survived by his great grandchildren, Eric Smith, Justin Thierheimer and Darren Green; brothers, Robert Blystone and wife Wanda, Ed Blystone and his sister Alice Norman. Also numerous nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all that loved him.
