Captain John Luike, 73, of Betterton, died suddenly on Wednesday evening. September 25, at his residence. Captain Luike was a commercial fisherman and until several years ago owned and operated charter boat service from Betterton.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret, and two sons: George H., and John, both of Betterton, one daughter, Caroline Wodosky, of Farmington, CT; a brother, Clarence, of Kennedyville, and two sisters, Mrs. Charlotte Smith and Mrs. Elizabeth Mellor, both of Betterton. Seven grandchildren also survive.
