She was born Jan. 4, 1927, in Conneaut, the daughter of Stephen T. and Mary P. (Scheid) Bly and was a Conneaut High School graduate.
Mrs. Rea had been employed at Webb Manufacturing. She volunteered with the Red Cross, the Blood Bank and the 50/50 Barn. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, crafts and reading. She had been a resident of the Ashtabula County Nursing Home, Kingsville, Ohio, for the past year.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter H. Rea in 1973; two brothers, James and John Bly; and a sister, Helen Plosila.
Graveside Services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, in Glenwood Cemetery, Conneaut, Ohio, with Tim Kraus, of the Church of Christ, officiating.
No calling hours will be observed.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Activities Department of Ashtabula County Nursing Home, 5740 Dibble Road, Kingsville, Ohio 44048. Envelopes will be available at Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Ohio, which has charge of arrangements."
