Betty Alice (Wachtel) Sollars, 81, Macon, Missouri, passed from this life on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Macon Health Care Center, Macon, Missouri. She was born November 29, 1930 in Independence, Kansas to James Milton and Christina Marie (Bissett) Wachtel.

Betty married Charles Sollars on July 12, 1959 in St. Joseph, Missouri and he preceded her in death on January 26, 2003. She was a Bookkeeper for Heckman Carpet for several years. She was a member of the Woodson Chapel Christian Church, St. Joseph, Missouri.


Celebration of Life: 1:00 PM Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Gladden - Stamey Funeral Home, St. Joseph, Missouri. Interment will be in Mt Mora Cemetery, St. Joseph, Missouri. Public visitation and family receiving hours will be from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday October 24. Memorials are suggested to Mt. Mora Cemetery.
