He was the son of the late Walter and Pearl (Weaver) Hoffman. A retired railroad brakeman, he was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 1136, The Loyal Order of Moose No. 1582 and the Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company. He was also a member of the Steadman-Keenan Post No. 96 of the American Legion which will accord him full military honors.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Walter Hoffman, Leesburg, Va., and Donald Hoffman, Purcellville, Va.; and Dallas, Knoxville; one grandchild.
The body rests at the Feete Funeral Home where services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Harold Beck. Burial will be made in Mountain View Cemetery, Sharpsburg.
