The Rev. Dr. Oswald H. Bertram was born in Iowa, the son of Henry and Hulda Bertram. He attended the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod Seminary in St. Louis. He and Lorna Kern were parents of Lorna Lee and Grandparents of Holly Marie Moulton and Todd Jeffrey Moulton. Pastor Bertram was a pioneer in TV Evangelism, bringing Christ's salvation through "A Worship for Shut-Ins" that was filmed at WSPD-TV in Toledo and played in 10 television markets in the 1970s. Several years after the tragic death of Lorna in 1970, Pastor Bertram remarried Sarah "Sally" Martin. Pastor Bertram served parishes in Connecticut, Philadelphia and finally, Toledo. He was beloved by all--especially his last congregation at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Holly Marie was the light of his life. He fell asleep in his Savior before grandson Todd was born.
