Ethan Irvin Beddingfield, 11, of Fletcher, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 7, 2009.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, and a member of the Mountain Home Baptist Church. He attended Glenn C. Marlow Elementary School where he played basketball and was preparing for his next year at Rugby Middle School. He loved the farm, horses and fourwheeling.

He was the son of Danny Beddingfield of Zirconia and Charlene and John Philbrick of Fletcher. Along with his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Bryan, Kayla and Ivan Philbrick and Jessica Montoya of the home; his maternal grandparents, Clifford and Kay Dalton of Edneyville; paternal grandparents, Marshall and Linda Beddingfield of Zirconia; paternal grandmother, Barbara Logsdon of Zirconia; step-grandparents, Mike and Maureen Philbrick of Asheville; maternal great-grandparents, Hubert and Belle Staton of Green River; uncles and aunts, Vance and Lori Dalton of Maiden, Rodney Dalton of Edneyville, Charlie and Sheri Dalton of Dana, Phillip and Missy Beddingfield of Green River, Martin and Amanda Beddingfield of Etowah; cousins, Jake and Isaac Dalton of Maiden, Skye Youngblood of Hendersonville, Rhett and Blake Lewis of Dana, Matthew and Mike Philbrick of Asheville, Angus DeBockler and Liz Gunnels of Georgia; and will also leave behind many friends.


A funeral will be at noon Friday at Mountain Home Baptist Church with the Rev. Craig Garren and the Rev. Chris Pace officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery
