CROCKFORD
MRS. NORMA FRANCES CROCKFORD, beloved companion of John Brezovski, passed away in Taber on Wednesday, November 15, 2000 at the age of 67 years.

Norma was born on the family homestead near Gilroy, Saskatchewan on February 13, 1933 the daughter of George and Karin Ecklund. She was raised and schooled in the Riverhurst area and later worked various jobs before settling in Lethbridge and working at the Lethbridge Flying Club where she met and later married Joseph Crockford. They moved to Kelowna, B.C. and in 1977, following he death of Joseph, she moved with her family to Taber.

As Norma settled in Taber, she became involved in numerous activities and volunteered much of her time to Church functions, the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary and bowling activilies. In her leisure, she liked to spend time going fishing, camping, curling and bowling. She also like to spend quality time with her family and was especially fond of her grandchildren. She was a member of the 8-Ender Curling Club, the Legion Ladies Auxiliary which she was a Past President and was recently awarded a life membership for her involvement and service; a member of the Knox United • Church and the 67 unit of U.C.W.

Norma will be sadly missed, but always cherished by her dear friend and longtime companion John Brezovski; her mother Karin Ecklund; her children, her 4 sisters, 2 brothers, a brother-in-law, an aunt and an uncle (names deleted as per FAG rules) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Norma was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1977; an infant brother Lloyd Ecklund; a sister Vivian Thompson; her father George Ecklund; brothers-in-law Frank Summers, Sigfried Anderson and Gerry Whittaker and a dear niece Cindee McCulloch.

The Funeral Service will be held at Knox United Church (4929 • 50th Ave.) Taber, on Saturday, November 18,2000 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Jim Lockhead officiating. Interment will follow in the Taber Memorial Garden.
