A mortician and the retired owner of the Chinn Funeral Home in Arlington, died at his residence.
He was born in Newark, New Jersey and attended the D.E. Dolan College of Embalming in New Jersey. He was a mortician in Philadelphia before World War II and later served in the Marine Corps.

After the war he settled in the Washington area and opened Chinn Funeral Home, in the Shirlington Area of Arlington County. He was an instructor of morticians. He sold his business to Baker and retired 23 years ago. He was a member of Alpha Alpha Epsilon morticians fraternity and the Arlington County Volunteer Fire Department. Also active in Fairfax County and Virginia Democratic Party politics.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Mary; a stepdaughter and three grandchildren.
