Ratzi Aiello, a retired warehouseman after four years with the Benicia Unified School District, with, died at Sutter Delta Medical Center in Antioch. He was 55.

The native of Pittsburg was a lifelong resident. He worked for the Pittsburg Unified School District for 11 years and owned a delicatessen in Monterey for five years.

Affiliations and hobbies: Church of the Good Shepherd in Pittsburg, Young Men's Institute; sports, cooking and trips to Reno.

Survivors: Daughter, Cathy Aiello of Pittsburg; son, Ron Aiello of Antioch; mother, Catherine Aiello of Pittsburg; two sisters; one brother; and two grandchildren. His wife, Kathy, died in 1998.

Services: Visitation 2-8 p.m. with 7 p.m. vigil Wednesday at Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. 9:30 a.m. Mass on Thursday at Church of the Good Shepherd in Pittsburg. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in Pittsburg.
