Died at Saterlee General Hospital, 24th Ward,Philadelphia, of a gunshot wound to the back.

He was single. 29 years old at death. He was a teamster by trade. Enlisted 8/14/1862.

Listed on the New Bedford City Council's "Roll of Honor" which lists those soldiers and sailors from the Greater New Bedford Area who were killed or died during the Civil War. New Bedford City Council, May, 1869.
