Curtis Lee Harris, age 60, of Freeburn, KY, departed this life on Friday, October 12, 2012 at the Pikeville Medical Center of Pikeville, KY. Born June 9, 1952, in Matewan, WV, Curtis was the son of the late Oliver and Virginia Gertrude Jude Harris.

In addition to his parents, Curtis is preceded in death by his sisters, Wilma Casey and Mable Crum;
brother, Luther Harris;
brother-in-law, Ira Junior Mapes.

Curtis was retired, having worked as a coal miner. Curtis will be fondly remembered by those who held him close for his loving demeanor, kind personality, and his sense of humor. Curtis' bravery and his ability to smile through the pain, will remain a memory of strength and fortitude to all who knew him. He also was a member of the Church of God In Jesus Name of Phelps, KY.

He leaves to honor his loving memory and mourn his passing his loving wife, Bonnie Mapes Harris of Freeburn, KY;
