Charles Arthur, married to Ada Arlene Pettus, was born 12 September 1878 in Lincoln County; he died 22 December 1962 and is buried in Beechwood.
Robert's mother (birthplace, NC) is living with them in the 1880 LCT census, where he has been incorrectly transcribed as A.G. Bagley. It is said Martha's middle name is actually Elizabeth.

Robert was a farmer, raised saddle horses, had a fine orchard, and raised bees...which produced much honey.
In 1871, his mother gave him some land in LCT. He sold it and moved to Marshall Co., TN.
He was a devoted member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He lived well and was a good provider.
