Gary Adams, one of the golf industry's true visionaries, was widely recognized as the "father of the metalwood." He founded Taylor Made Golf Co. in McHenry, Illinois in 1979. In 1995, he received the PGA of America's highest honor, the Ernie Sabayrac Award, for lifetime contributions to the golf industry. In 1997, he founded McHenry Metals, a company that has since designed a high performance line of TourPure drivers and fairway woods that immediately received acceptance and recognition among golf professionals and consumers.
