Funeral services will be held at the Ebenezer Baptist Church on Friday October 12, 2012 at 10am.
Burial to follow at the Ebenezer Cemetery.
A native and lifelong resident of Jasper County, she was employed as a waitress at the Jasper Bus Stop, Forest Hills and Travelers Inn for many years and had been a secretary for Shelby Gas.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Earl Parker, a sister Helen Marshall, her brothers Leslie Roeder, Leo Roeder and Charles Roeder.
Survivors include a son Donald and wife Janet Jobe of Roganville, Texas, step-sons Tom and wife Molly Parker of Doucette, Texas and Robert Parker of Woodville, Texas, her daughter Patsy and husband Kit Stephenson of Jasper, Texas, a step-daughter Crystal and husband Albert Hensarling of Jasper, Texas and a sister Burmadee Collins of Elkhart, Texas, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
